What will you do? Carpool is looking for a Customer Operations Intern to support our Customer Success team by managing the operational execution of customer accounts and daily vehicle shipments.

Your primary focus will be on customer operations and account support, ensuring shipments are executed accurately, issues are resolved efficiently, and internal systems reflect the most up-to-date information. While you may have occasional customer communication, this role is not responsible for owning customer relationships.

As with any startup role, you will wear multiple hats and gain exposure to how customer operations, logistics, and internal teams work together to deliver a strong customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Operations & Account Support

• Support the operational management of customer accounts by ensuring shipments are executed accurately and on time
• Assist with day-to-day account workflows and internal coordination for active customers
• Provide operational support to the Customer Success and Account Management teams
• Help ensure customer expectations are met through strong execution and follow-through

Shipment Execution & Logistics

• Manage the execution of daily vehicle shipments from pickup to delivery

• Ensure shipment details are accurately entered, maintained, and updated in internal systems

• Monitor shipments for delays or issues and escalate appropriately

• Help identify the best operational solutions when exceptions arise

Carrier & Partner Coordination

• Assist with sourcing and communicating with auto hauler partners

• Support load assignment and coverage to meet customer timelines

• Help maintain accurate carrier and lane information

Process, Data & Systems

• Review shipment data to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Assist with reporting, documentation, and process improvements

• Help maintain clean, reliable account and shipment data across systems

Qualifications:

• Majors in supply chain, logistics, business, operations, or related fields preferred
• Juniors or seniors only; must be able to work 28+ hours per week
• Strong interest in operations, logistics, or account management
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple workflows
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Compensation & Perks

• Competitive hourly pay: $17/hour
