About Carpool
Carpool is the logistics infrastructure powering the modern car economy. We combine a proprietary technology platform with a vetted carrier network of 13,000+ transporters to move 200,000+ vehicles annually for dealerships, auctions, OEMs, and fleets nationwide. Headquartered in Atlanta, Carpool is one of the fastest-growing companies in vehicle logistics — and we’re building the team to match.
The Role
Carpool is hiring a Logistics Analyst to improve how vehicles move through the network. This role sits within the Operations team and partners closely with Pricing, Sales, and Engineering. The position focuses on hands-on planning and network optimization — identifying consolidation and hub-and-spoke opportunities, building coverage strategies for challenging routes, and improving service across low-density lanes.
What You’ll Do
- Identify load-consolidation opportunities to improve truck utilization and network efficiency.
- Develop coverage strategies for complex and low-density markets utilizing hub & spoke routing, relays, and short-term storage solutions.
- Monitor shipment performance, carrier capacity, and network risks to support reliable execution.
- Design shipment strategies that maintain service standards while keeping cost-to-serve in range.
- Recommend operational improvements including rerouting, repricing, and carrier optimization.
- Partner closely with the Pricing team by providing market intelligence, capacity insights, and operational feedback to support accurate customer pricing.
- Coordinate with Operations, Sales, Pricing, and Engineering to keep routing decisions, pricing, and customer commitments aligned.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of logistics and/or analyst experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive network optimization decisions.
- Experience evaluating lane performance, carrier utilization, pricing dynamics, and service-level metrics.
- Demonstrated bias for action and ability to make sound operational decisions independently in fast-paced environments.
- Proven ability to solve complex logistics challenges with limited direction and high accountability.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL, BI tools, or transportation systems is a plus.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and experience partnering with Operations, Pricing, Sales, and Engineering teams.
Compensation
Carpool offers a competitive compensation package: base salary, performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. We’re a venture-backed company headquartered in Buckhead at Atlanta Tech Village (ATV), a startup community with mentors and advisors built in. Why Carpool
Most analyst roles at logistics companies produce recommendations that never leave a slide deck. This role is different. The work directly influences live dispatch, routing, pricing, and carrier-coverage decisions — often within the same day. You’ll work closely with Operations and Engineering teams to shape both network strategy and the tools that support it. Carpool moved more than 200,000 vehicles last year, and this role will help drive operational decisions that scale as we continue to grow.
