The Role
Carpool is hiring a Manager of Auction Accounts to lead the team responsible for managing relationships, operations, and shipment execution for our auction customers. Reporting into the Operations organization, this role oversees a team of Account Executives supporting some of the largest vehicle auctions in the country. You will be responsible for customer retention, operational performance, team development, and scalable process design as Carpool continues to expand its auction business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of Account Executives serving as the primary point of contact for Carpool’s auction customers.
- Own the performance, retention, and growth of a portfolio of auction accounts, ensuring customers receive consistent operational support and measurable value.
- Build and maintain relationships with auction operators, transportation managers, and executive stakeholders across customer organizations.
- Partner with Sales to onboard new auction customers and ensure successful implementation of Carpool’s transportation solutions.
- Oversee vehicle qualification, appointment scheduling, and shipment planning processes to ensure efficient execution and carrier utilization.
- Establish operational standards, KPIs, and reporting processes to monitor customer performance, shipment quality, and service-level adherence.
- Conduct regular business reviews using shipment data and analytics to identify opportunities for improvement, growth, and operational efficiency.
- Identify process gaps and implement scalable workflows that improve accuracy, reduce exceptions, and support continued auction volume growth.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in customer-facing account management, operations, logistics, or related leadership roles.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams with accountability for performance metrics and customer outcomes.
- Automotive auction, transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience preferred.
- Ability to build credibility and communicate effectively with stakeholders ranging from operational contacts to executive leadership.
- Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other business productivity tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support customer relationships and operational initiatives.
Compensation
Base salary range: $70,000 – $80,000
