The Role

Carpool is hiring a Carrier Sales Executive to help grow and manage the carrier network that keeps vehicles moving across our marketplace. This role sits at the intersection of carrier relationship management, capacity planning, and lane optimization, working closely with Operations, Sales, and internal marketplace teams. You will develop reliable carrier capacity, negotiate market-informed rates, and help solve shipment issues before they become customer problems.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with car carriers across priority lanes and markets.
  • Develop carrier capacity for recurring lanes, seasonal demand, and customer-specific coverage needs.
  • Identify, onboard, and activate new carriers to increase network density and service reliability.
  • Negotiate competitive rates using market data, service expectations, lane history, and shipment urgency.
  • Keep carriers engaged in the Carpool ecosystem by matching them with consistent, high-fit load opportunities.
  • Monitor active shipments and work with internal teams to resolve transportation delays, missed pickups, documentation issues, and other service exceptions.
  • Use Carpool systems, reporting, and lane analytics to improve carrier performance, reduce cost, and identify coverage gaps.
  • Partner with Operations and Customer teams to align carrier capacity with customer demand and improve process efficiency.

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of experience in carrier sales, carrier operations, freight brokerage, vehicle shipping brokerage, or a closely related logistics environment.
  • A working understanding of freight or vehicle transport markets, carrier pricing, capacity constraints, and service expectations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills with external carrier partners.
  • Sound judgment under time pressure, with the ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities, and exceptions at once.
  • A detail-oriented approach to follow-through, documentation, and issue resolution.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; comfort learning internal logistics systems and reporting tools.
  • A practical, solution-driven mindset and the adaptability to work in a growing logistics technology business.

Compensation

Base salary range: $50,000 – $60,000
