Harpie is currently building the first firewall that stops theft and scams on-chain. We are able to detect and eliminate malicious transactions before they have an opportunity to execute; we do this by taking advantage of Ethereum’s consensus algorithm. About the role
We are looking for a person that can lead business development operations at Harpie. You will be responsible for setting the foundations of our business development pipeline, from outreach to closing. This hire will be Harpie’s first business development hire, so you’ll be working extensively with the founding team.
Responsibilities
Create and maintain a strategy that generates dealflow and closes deals
Source relationships and partnerships from many different verticals in the Ethereum space
Negotiate, and close deals with potential partners, and define what our relationships look like with our partners
Pipeline feedback you’ve been receiving from potential partners to leadership/development teams
Ability to create your own sales collateral and understand how to capture the value proposition of Harpie
Set a foundation for future BD associates to work atop of
Required
Experience working in business development teams for tech startups
Excellent network in the crypto space
Willingness to travel to and speak at blockchain conferences
Ability to work independently and take charge of creating the foundations of a business development pipeline
Proven track record in taking products to market
Preferred

A scientific personality; you’re not afraid of trying new strategies, but you’re also not afraid of moving to different strategies when things aren’t working
Previous experience writing copy
4+ years of experience in business development or similar roles (partnerships, consulting, sales, account executive, finance, VC, etc.)
