Responsibilities

Mudstack is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Director of Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for growing revenue by building relationships with key potential customers, handling inbound inquiries, closing deals, and managing our deal pipeline. You will play a crucial role in shaping our commercial strategy, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth.
Initially you will focus on growth within the game industry, and later will tackle expansion into other adjacent industries including film & television, music & entertainment, design & architecture, etc.

Specific Responsibilities Include

Sales Growth
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
Build, lead, and mentor the sales team, setting performance goals and ensuring consistent achievement.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new customer segments, markets, and geographies.
Business Development
Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, including market analysis, competitive intelligence, and opportunity assessment.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry players, potential clients, and stakeholders.
Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives.
Collaboration
Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Work closely with the executive team to align commercial activities with overall business objectives.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities.

Requirements Include

Proven experience as a Director of Sales, Head of Sales, VP of Sales, or similar senior leadership role in a fast-paced startup or tech company.
Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and business development initiatives.
Strong understanding of the gaming and creative industry, including key players, trends, and market dynamics.
Experience in identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships and alliances.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a software or technology startup environment.
Knowledge of tools and solutions used by creative teams in the game industry.
Established network within the gaming and creative industries.
