The Opportunity
This is a pivotal role that will help transform Soundstripe as we expand to reach new audiences and release new products.In this role you will:
- Partner with the Product team and play a key role in shaping the product roadmap by bringing market trends and consumer insights to the table. Lead go-to-market strategy for product releases and launches
- Lead pricing and packaging strategy, determining which features and benefits are included with each plan. Collaborate closely with the Director of Growth to align these strategies with business objectives, ensuring they are optimized for customer retention and upsell opportunities.
- Develop personas, segmentation, consumer insights, and messaging
- Own the customer journey, making sure a cohesive experience is delivered between marketing, sales and product
- Gain and leverage consumer insights that drive audience segmentation and personas, brand positioning, value propositions and messaging frameworks
- Understand the consumer, competitive, and category research to help find areas of opportunity for the brand
- Create messaging frameworks. Develop compelling claims and proof points for key messages as well as our brand voice. Partner across the company to ensure messaging alignment
- Develop content marketing and thought leadership strategy
- Lead the strategy for maintaining up-to-date and engaging content across all digital touchpoints, including the website, blog, partner pages, online stores, and app store listings, ensuring consistency and accuracy in product messaging and information
- Working with our Creative Lead and agency partners, oversee creative development for paid media, organic social, content marketing and sales collateral

What to expect
This role is a new addition to Soundstripe’s Marketing team reporting to our VP of Marketing. You will have one direct report, a Creative Lead, to start. The role will collaborate very closely with our Product, Sales and Data & Business Intelligence team.
Soundstripe is a remote-friendly company and the team is geographically distributed with a few opportunities for in-person connections each year.
What You Bring
- 10+ years’ experience in product marketing
- Experience developing and leading end-to-end product marketing strategies and go-to-market plans
- Comfort with market research, data and strong analytical rigor
- Strong verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to effectively influence
- Strong team player – comfortable motivating others and working in a highly collaborative environment with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
- Ability to navigate between the strategic and tactical; can see the big picture and dig in to execute when needed
- Experience coaching and developing a team
- Strong strategic and analytical skills partnered with a creative mind
