About the Role


Soundstripe is seeking a driven and experienced Partnerships Director to lead and execute our partnership strategy, identifying and building relationships with key technology platforms in the content creator ecosystem. This role requires a hands-on leader who can operate as an individual contributor. You will identify opportunities, engage potential partners, negotiate deals, and maintain strong, collaborative relationships to ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Identify high-value partnership opportunities with a focus of distributing Soundstripe music on other platforms such as Adobe, Canva, video editing applications, podcast platforms, and other content creation tools where music augments the customer experience.
  • Relationship Management: Act as the main point of contact for key partners, ensuring smooth onboarding, collaboration, and ongoing support to maximize mutual value.
  • Deal Negotiation: Own the end-to-end deal cycle, including outreach, proposal creation, negotiation, contract execution, and maintain ongoing partnership relationships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering teams to align partnership initiatives with Soundstripe’s overall business strategy and ensure successful integrations.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the success of partnerships through key performance indicators (KPIs), and identify opportunities for growth or optimization.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed on industry trends, emerging platforms, and new technologies to position Soundstripe as a leader in the music licensing space.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Experience: 7+ years in partnerships, business development, or related fields, with at least 3+ years focused on content and tech partnerships.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth.
  • Creator Ecosystem Knowledge: Deep understanding of creator tools and platforms, with familiarity in working with partners like Adobe, Canva, Getty, video editing apps, podcasting platforms, etc.
  • Hands-On Approach: Comfortable operating as both an individual contributor, rolling up your sleeves to execute while sharing best practices with colleagues.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with experience collaborating with senior-level stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to measure and track the impact of partnerships, using data to make informed decisions and optimize performance.
  • Proactive and Strategic: Self-starter with the ability to identify opportunities, prioritize tasks, and execute in a fast-paced environment.
